Albom, Mitch. Five People You Meet in Heaven.
Great life lessons are learned by reading this book.

Albom, Mitch. For One More Day.

Albom, Mitch. Tuesdays with Morrie.
More than a story about just their relationship, the book gives definitive advice on viewing life and its living. It squarely places the responsibility for our individual happiness on the individual and what he chooses to value. It forces the reader to look at familiar things in new ways and to stare some undesirable elements in the face.

Alcott, Louisa May. Little Women.

Anderson, Laurie Halse. Speak

An oldie but a goodie. This was a childhood favorite of mine. Great to know that a child essentially on their own throughout a story can retain such optimism while all those around her dispair.
